I've been asked this on a couple of different occasions by both my kids. Truth is, I don't really know. I remember I used to write a lot when we were living in LA. A blog back then was so novel, and there was a community around it.
Now, no one's content belongs to anybody. And a lot of it is written by a really fancy autocomplete.
I wonder a little bit if people will gravitate to content that is obviously written by real humans or art that is made by human artists. My real hope is that that kind of stuff will become more valuable, so that all of the busy work content that is written and read by bots will make things move faster when it doesn't matter. But when it does, in terms of human connection, the authenticity will speak for itself, and everone will put a little more time, thought, and care into their things they want to put out into the world.
What do I want to do? I still don't know, but at the very least, maybe some of that.
