how come all the conservatives live-blogging the presidential debates are fucking stupid? you go to a conservative site and see someone kissing ass of president bush and how great he’s doing blow by blow against kerry. i see idiotic scorecards grading kerry’s and bush’s responses, doling out A’s to bush and criticizing jim lehrer for throwing kerry softballs. kerry seems a little too intent to highlight his war record, which conservatives can jump on if they want, but that’s small beans as far as i’m concerned.

that said, any pro-bushers that come here will probably think i’m an idiot, but that probably says more about our biases that our actual intelligence.

things i’m noticing: bush is really driving hard to get his same old points across– kerry = flip-flopper. that’s really ALL i’m getting from him. he certainly does look pissed. kerry looks pretty resolute, i’m sure his taking notes can be looked at as a weakness, but it makes him look more involved to me. bush tends to come off as the same arrogant, eye-rolling, rich kid that he always seems to look like– i think a lot of people seem to admire this. his pensive pauses sound like stumbles to me, but probably make him sound confident and relaxed to his followers.
